Martha Odigie has recently completed her first year as the Respond Recruitment franchisee for the Milton Keynes territory. Her first year has been busy and resulted in the successful securing of numerous contracts with a variety of Nursing Homes, Schools and Nurseries in the local area. Business is good for the Atterbury based entrepreneur who is enjoying both the flexibility and unlimited earnings potential that running her own recruitment business brings.
Martha and her team now have a healthy client mix of Healthcare and Education organisations ranging from privately owned Special Education Needs Schools to large 100 plus bedded Nursing Homes that are part of Larger National Groups. Whilst she was finding her feet in the early stages of the business, Respond’s franchise development team were working closely alongside her to support growth plans. She found that the already negotiated agreements with large National Groups helped get her and the team off the ground quickly by providing a steady trickle of bookings to keep the revenue stream moving. It also enabled the team to build a base of healthcare and education candidates who were ready to fulfill bookings from new clients as and when they came.
When Martha met Glenn Blythe (Managing Director) and Liam Chillman (Franchise Development Director) last year, she was nervously excited about the prospect of entering into, what was then, a totally new challenge for her. Martha, (who is an ex Theatre Nurse) was soon put at ease during the head office training sessions where she was left in the capable hands of a team who have over 15 years sector specific recruitment experience. Now approaching the quarter stage of her second year, the feeling is very much upbeat
